let's talk about engagement sessions!
We believe your season of engagement is such a unique and vibrant time – as a couple and as individuals. It is worth capturing, and it’s worth savoring. Wouldn't you give anything to see photos of your Great Grandparents wearing everyday (yet polished) clothes doing something they love to do together?! That is the motivation behind every engagement session we capture.
Engagement session also inevitably allow us to create more genuine images on your wedding day. Your engagement session allows you to get to know your photographer, and vice versa. Taking Bride and Groom portraits on your wedding day will be a breeze, because you’ve already practiced!

engagement sessions tips
1. When choosing a location, I normally ask our couples if there is a place most meaningful to their relationship or their story. If you need help thinking of a location, we would love to offer recommendations!
2. Engagement sessions are also a great situation to illustrate your unique style. Feel free to wear outfits that express who you are! We recommend bringing one formal outfit, and one casual outfit. If we are going to a specific location, you may consider attire that is fitting for that setting. For instance, if we are heading to a memorial in D.C., formal wear would look beautiful against that backdrop!
3. We schedule sessions during the first two hours the sun is up, and the two hours right before the sun sets. Our engagement sessions are about one and a half to two hours long, which allows us to explore the location of your choice, and time to change outfits for more variation.

1. Albums become family heirlooms. We want your kids and grandkids to be able to flip through the pages of an album that provides a well curated set of images that tells the true story of your unqiue wedding day!
2. Time. So often my clients say they'll get around to printing an album, yet five years goes by without making it happen! I love serving my clients by providing them with a solution to that problem.
3. Images were meant to be in your hands, not simply just on your phones or on the cloud!
